Steve Rice: MIS and JDF Workflow

Steve is an independent consultant with more than 15 years experience in Information Systems design, implementation and support. He has worked with organizations with revenues from $5M to $16B defining and leading diverse, complex, and difficult projects that advance operational efficiencies, ensure continuity of operations, improve company-wide decision-making, increase revenues, and drive cost efficiencies.

His consulting experience spans nearly a decade both as a Principle Consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers and as an independent. In addition to experience in the Print industry, he has also worked with manufacturing, distribution, and retail clients. Steve’s current focus is on Print MIS and workflow integration, custom software development, and Internet workflow integration.

In recent years Steve has been working with his clients to develop automation solutions for gang run order processing, prepress workflow, imposition, and integration with MIS. His work has been featured in print industry publications and conferences. He has experience with software from Adobe, Apago, Enterprise Print Management Solutions, Hence, Lithotechnics, Microsoft, Objective Advantage, Quark, and others. He has also worked with most major hardware vendors developing networks, data centers, disaster recovery strategies, and high performance, high availability systems.
